How it started
Smarta was founded by South-West based family man and entrepreneur Joedy Lawrence in 2015...

Having previously been one of the founders of Plymouth’s successful IU Energy venture, Joedy left that business when IU changed it’s focus from energy brokerage to energy saving and decided the time was right to start a new venture – Smarta Reductions.
With a passion for business and developing business relationships, he not only wants to build a successful company, but his focus is to develop a Smarta Community to encourage customer loyalty and connectivity between businesses.
He thrives on working with the people behind businesses, making connections, looking for and getting involved with opportunities within the City and having fun. This approach sits at the heart of the Smarta Reductions team.
